What is the best sunscreen and/or sunblock to wear under foundation?

What I meant was — what brand. I’ve used Neutrogena before but was wondering what others have used that has worked best under liquid, powder or mineral makeup.
vanessa r. — I know, but some work better than others. I’ve read in fashion magazines about certain sunscreens/blocks that work BEST under foundation. Like I said above, I like one by Neutrogena that has a sheer matte finish. I’ve also tried this other one by Avalon Organics that looks oily on my skin and takes more time to absorb into it, but I don’t like it as much since I have combo skin. Interesting you mentioned Dermalogica. In the past few days I’ve tried a couple samples (before you posted) — one for sensitive skin and another that is a full spectrum block. They both work quite well on my skin and am considerng purchasing.

Any sunscreen that is right for your skin type…. I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking, this seems like a pretty obvious answer.

You could also use a moisturizer with sunscreen in it. Dermalogica makes a product called Solar Defense Booster which when used as its own layer is spf 30, or you can mix it into your moisturizer or foundation for an SPF 17. It’s good for all skin types.

I like nutragena but most foundation has a sunscreen in it. I usually put on a moisturizer that has some uv protection then my foundation which also has it. I stand out in the sun for work about 1 1/2 hours a day and I don’t get sunburned. My nose usually gets red first from the exposure to the sunrays but not since I started this regime.

i use bare minerals by bare escentuals, the foundation has a natural spf 15, so i don’t need any additional sunscreen for everyday wear.

There is new moisturizer with sunblock on the market called Sun*Brella SPF 30 by Sweetsation Therapy (www.sweetsationtherapy.com). I’ve tried it at my girlfriend’s just the other day and placed my order today. It’s based on minerals – no chemicals, which is a plus. Not greasy and has hydrating action as well as repairs sun damage at the same time. What’s also important it doesn’t leave you looking like a ghost, also a plus, unlike a lot of other SPFs.
