Do you make your kids wear sunscreen every day?

If so, how old are they?

when it gets hot out and they're constantly outside…usually from May-Sept. I also send notes home to my students during the end of the year to put it on before they come to school. My kids are 10yrs, 8yrs, almost 4yrs and 8ms.

only in the summer (but definitely then), which i know is not the "correct" answer. mine are 2, 4, 7, and 8.

i have very pale skin and am always the first to burn in my family. i'm kind of the canary in the coal mine. :-) but i still make my darker-skinned children wear sunscreen if they're out in the summer, even early or late in the day.

Nope, they wear sunscreen when we go skiing (or any other snow sport) or when we are going to be out in the sun alot.

But on a typical school day they aren't wearing sunscreen.

When I know my two little ones are going to be out for longer then a few minutes in the sun I will spray some sunscreen on them. We don't go out everyday. But if we did I would defiantly use it on them everyday. They both are very fair and have red hair so they will likely burn very easily.

No I don't. My kids are outside all the time in the summer and they get soo tan that they really don't need any. The only place I put sunscreen in on the tops of their ears and their noses.

Yes, I live in the US so I will start putting sunscreen on probably in May and continue until late Sept or so. I don't do it year round, only in the warmer months. I have done this since they were babies since they are very fair skinned redheads. Also, my husband has just had numerous cancerous basal cells removed from his body so I am definitely going to be extra vigilant with the sunscreen from now on. We ALL are.

My son and daughter are 9 and 7.

    If they're outside, yes.

I also made my daughter come back and have it reapplied often. She understands that keeping her skin healthy now will mean she has less problems with it later.
